One of the nicest looking, most hospitable corners of the globe. Just about as good as it gets, in the big picture. What's this about broken dreams?

I was travelling solo so the lyrics of that Green Day song were semi relevant. Wandering around with nowhere to be, surrounded by strangers in an unfamiliar place etc...

Yeah, recognized the arch and statue but didn't realize there was an avenue with restaurants, close enough to see it this well. I must have been absolutely blinkered.
