There are cheap and painless methods for suicide without medication. They will become widely known when the downfall accelerates.
Agreed to a certain extent. But cheap and painless is hard to do without some kind of medication. Fentanyl is cheap and definitely painless. That's literally what it's designed to do. Name one way to do it that's cheaper and more humane. The downfall is here. I have a kid that eliminates my chances of an easy out. I can't do it. But without him, I would. I'm going to have to live this downfall at least as long as I can. Or until he does, then it's just open season.

Thought a bit on the Shit Hits The Fan (SHTF) scenario. Know what's crazy? I have 2.5 acres of swamp in the Florida boonies and there is no way I could grow enough to feed myself, wife and two little kids. And we're tiny people! And even in wetlands, getting clean water would be quite a trick. We'd have to move to neighboring land and setup near the creek, which floods constantly. (You can tell by walking around and observing.) It would take every ounce of energy we could put in, all day, every day, just to eat. And while we're out hunting and gathering and farming, who's gonna guard the homestead?
I'm far better prepared for this sort of thing than your average Joe and I wouldn't stand a chance keeping us alive for a year.
