A lot of these new apps on Android are available only, or first, on Github, so it's a bit annoying to keep them all up to date to test.

The Obtainium app can keep track of these updates too. I've never used it before, but it's coming handy just now with all the new Lemmy apps.

Next step is having an app that compiles the apps from the source for you. Maybe you could schedule it so it conpiles them and updates them at night while charging. I might write a script for it but idk how to make an app.

Fortunately all these peeps have been convinced to upload binaries, but yes that might come handy in general.
