Kind of a weird headline. Now we know roughly how old they are, but have no idea what they were protesting.
Sorry for not mentioning the reason. The protest was against corruption and the recent social media block.
Sounds like the government is trying to shape the narrative that this is mainly about a social media block. (Which aligns with mentioning their age.) which is part of it sure, but mainly it’s about government corruption. Which is probably the root cause of the media blockout.
Watching these stories come in every hour or so, each time the death toll goes up. 1, then 14, now 19.
Imagine opening fire on an entire crowd of people. Disgusting.
