@EndorNim
Gaza has no defense.
No tanks
No artillery
No army
No air force
No food
No water
No electricity
No medicine
They just being slaughtered by one of the strongest armies in the world while we just standing by and watch it from the distance.
@faab64 @palestine@lemmy.ml @palestine@fedibird.com Yep, I know that, which was the reason for my facetious comment.

From what I know, the recognition will be on Sept. 22 at the UN. But I'm not sure it's good news for the Palestinians. It seems that European countries put conditions to do what is simply their duty. Palestinians would be placed under the authority of the Palestinian Authority, (which I consider a front for the US and Israel), and would have no right to bear arms (next to a neighbor like Israel!)
Here is the declaration:

@Alexandrad1
Thanks, I know. I read it.
It's a disgusting declaration put together by Saudi Arabia and France to simply create a semi occupied Palestine with no rights whatsoever and no obligation on Israel to respect the flimsy and undeclared territories of "Palestine".
But it still doesn't mean those countries who voted for it on September 19 have recognized Palestine as a nation. But I wait and see what happens on the 22nd
