A sudy just came out of MIT showing that dependency on AI assistance leads to cognitive decline and disadvantage to several key performers of intelligence such has recalling, learning, and problem solving.
The doctor that led the study has raised it as a major long-term concern. Because of this, they have published it in urgency before awaiting full peer review, so they're pretty confident. On the surface, though, the study and how it was conducted makes it pretty obvious she's right.
