Ruby Central recently took over a collection of open source projects from their maintainers without their consent.

That's a very scummy move orchestrated by (at least) Shopify, but it doesn't surprise me too much. Did you know that Shopify's leadership are Trump/fascism sympathizers?

It sounds very similar to how copy left dev was screwed over and broke a good chunk of the internet.
