Late reply, but I just wanna say: Americans helped out a lot during my home country's defence against japanese imperialism, and in 1945, the US swiftly put an end to the atrocities throughout Asia (which had been happening for a decade, or probably longer), committed by the imperialist japanese army, by using the US's new weapon (I do not condone the civillian deaths involved btw, but there were no alternatives). Sure, Americans have their own dark history, but the USA is nowhere near as bad as the literal nazis. Americans helped save my homeland from total destruction. (And yes, USSR also kinda helped, so I guess kudos for that, but then... later on they kinda were trying to force China into the USSR, so... that ain't cool...)
