If they ever want to go the comics' way, there's already a bunch of characters able to dance the mutually destructive tango with Homelander. Adding Marie to the mix would be superfluous. If I had to guess, her power-up makes me think she will end up crossing path with Butcher.

If it was that easy neuman would have done it. I think she and homelander had a conversation about it where she conceded that he'd be too fast in realizing it was happening and stopping her from her effective distance.
I always assumed they came to a deal, where she agreed to not kill him in exchange for him helping her achieve her goals.
