If a company I have a paid account with asked me to verify my age they'd lose my subscription so fast their head would spin. Ultimately I'm just one person but if enough people feel the same way it could be a deterrent but in the grand scheme of things there probably aren't enough of us
I went to buy vape parts (coils and pods, nothing restricted) from some site and it was the day AWS went down, idk if that has anything to do with it, but they decided that my birthdate wasn’t enough age verification to buy metal and plastic, and wanted a selfie to verify my age.
I never noped out of giving someone my money faster.
