You need to prove the existing solutions are insufficient before legislation like this.

It is incredibly easy to turn on parental controls on all commercial operating systems. Why is that not sufficient?

Because data is the new oil and friends of the party won't be able to profit from it if we have a sensible solution.

The Liberals all voted against that. Do we know if they have their own version?
