While I can't vouch for the in person details, sex toys were a hyperfixation for me because I was going to open a sex shop myself. My findings were that around 86% of full silicon egg vibrators use comparable motors. So when the shop owner said it won't bring you to orgasm, that's scam language. They were looking for the upsell.

Now, like someone else said, good reciever is the make or break here, a lot of the remote only models we tested just had a single wire loop for an antenna, which is not reliable and prone to breaking in use. The Lovense one is good if you want extras like ability to remote control the egg over the internet, sync it to music or games, do camming etc.

My experience skews more towards dildos and the like, and at least there you rather get what you pay for. Cheaper products have cheaper materials, sometimes there are unappealing smells, or icky residue. I have a pair of dildos I've never used because they were so gross. The Edge 2, and I presume their other vibrators, have a proprietary charging connection. It's essentially just two metal contacts and a cable with a relatively weak magnet attached; it does the job but for the price I think the cable could be nicer. That said I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to order it on account of it shipping from the U.S. - it gets expensive and there will be something similar more readily available for you. Just look around.

In short, Lovense is a pretty safe bet but you're not going to have 6 times better orgasms. Check the reviews and particularly look out for what people are saying about the material, you want to avoid porous toys because they are much harder to sanitise properly. Since anal will be involved you'll want to take particular care that the toy is cleaned thoroughly, infections are no joke.

Play safe, and have fun.

My opinion, opposite from others, is start with a cheap one and see if you even like the concept. Maybe you don't even like bullet vibes. You can learn that for 20 euros or 200. I think, better to buy a cheap one first and upgrade once you know you like it.

Do you actually want something that works through your phone? That's a lot of hassle and if you are using it on yourself. Your phone will get all gooey. It'll be difficult to hold the phone and the vibe at the same time. If you aren't already looking at your phone, going into it will be distracting. If you are looking at your phone as part of the experience, you'll have to switch out of whatever you are doing. It is a lot easier to use a more classic one with a tactile control (dial or buttons). Wired style means vibe part itself is lighter, while you can have more battery in the controller box.

If you specifically want a wireless one, then you should expect to pay some for all the extra electronic components and complexity compared to the above. Assuming you want it to work reliably.

Ideally you will go somewhere that has the demo items displayed so you can turn them on and handle them. You will get an idea of what they can do for you. Did you go to some little "boutique" "top drawer" place? Try to find somewhere with a wider selection. Even a small sex store should have several devices of this type to compare.

The markup is a lot, what is pays for is the rent, bills and payroll of running a brick and mortar location that is available so you can go and handle a bunch of toys before you buy them.
