If only there were a mesh network of satellites allowing remote internet-disconnected areas to access the web which WASN'T run by the egomaniacal fucktoy of a despotic psychopath...

[-] Mrkawfee@feddit.uk 3 points 9 months ago

Its also run for the benefit of the US Military

[-] Agent641@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

If the US wanted to do a funny without directly killing anyone, they would use a B2 spirit to carpet bomb Iran with solar powered meshtastic nodes

[-] Tattorack@lemmy.world 14 points 9 months ago

And my dad just went to visit Iran for two months...

[-] murmelade@lemmy.ml 4 points 9 months ago

Hope he is ok. Also have relatives there and it fucking sucks not knowing if they're ok.

It's apparently a beautiful place to visit with great people. But it's probably a little premature.

Just recently heard about Snowflake browser addon for sharing bandwith

[-] boatswain@infosec.pub 14 points 9 months ago

While Snowflake is a pretty cool and worthwhile extension to run, I don't think having a proxied connection to Tor will help Iranians if they just don't have an Internet connection at all.

[-] domi@lemmy.secnd.me 4 points 9 months ago

Indeed. Connections to my Tor bridge dropped by 80% when Iran disconnected.

Good move. The violence were caused by external US/Mossad influencers/agents, and they rely on the internet to disperse their garbage propaganda.

Is it part of the ToS of lemmy.ml to regularly post bs takes?

[-] AzuranAurora@piefed.ca 11 points 9 months ago

Dessalines bans you if you don't conform to a very narrow set of beliefs. Dissent is not allowed.

[-] Electricd@lemmybefree.net 3 points 9 months ago

Can confirm, I’m banned

[-] Tattorack@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

I can ask the Iranian side of my family to explain exactly how full of shit you are. Wouldn't be for constructive reasons; I doubt you can be taught anything. But it sure would be entertaining.

[-] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 1 points 9 months ago

A lot of communists here are like Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Their existing living condition is shit and they think that going to a different place will magically fix all their problems because everything just has to be better there.

[-] Tattorack@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Sure, but what does this have to do with the riots in Iran?

[-] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 1 points 9 months ago

It doesn't. I'm commenting more on supporters like you've read online saying the current government is great.

[-] Mrkawfee@feddit.uk 0 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

There are plenty of Iranians who worship Netanyahu, especially Pahlavi.

[-] Tattorack@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

There are plenty of Americans who worship Trump... In a literal sense... And are perfectly fine with ICE indiscriminately shooting people.

Are you trying to make a point?

[-] Mrkawfee@feddit.uk 0 points 9 months ago

Yes. The Zionist media assumes that these Iranians speak for everyone.

[-] murmelade@lemmy.ml 2 points 9 months ago

Bullshit. They sure as hell will make the most of the situation though.

[-] vacuumflower@lemmy.sdf.org -2 points 9 months ago

I've recently assembled in my head one story, that went on for 13 years, that is, roughly speaking, connected to antisemitism (also cowardice).

I won't go into details, but honestly Mossad and the state of Israel have a reason of existence bigger than my mood swings and feelings on the scale of this decade or that, and I can understand the ethical logic that, if there's going to be plenty of bloodshed anyway, then rather it'd be their way.

I might have said very rough things about the state of Israel many times, but with all its crimes its existence means that some Jewish people don't have to live at someone's mercy saying "thank you daddy" every day. I'd drink to that if it weren't work time.

see people revolting against their government

see it's happening in a place opposed to the US

tHiS mUsT bE tHe WoRk Of ThE CiA aNd IsRaEl

Can't let the people have their own say, they're infants who have to be controlled to take their country back to what it was before the US meddled

There's no point explaining this to NPCs who dont have object permanence and can't see the decade + long regime change that Netanyahu has been engineering:

making Trump pullout of JCPOA,
Max pressure campaign,
killing Soleimani,
murdering nuclear scientists,
sabotaging industries and
going to war against Iran's shia allies in the region.
faking negotiations while planning a sneak attack in June.

Not to mention the constellation of anti government Iranian propaganda outlets in the West, funded by Mossad and Western intelligence, braying for regime change.

These NPC think the protests organically happened, by sheer coincidence just days after Netanyahu met with Trump in Mar a Lago, the fifth time in a year, to set a timeframe for attacking Iran.

Even Israeli media is up front about the nature of these protests.
