Attorney General Pam Bondi’s disastrous handling of the Epstein files has added a new screwup to its list with the unmasking of an undercover FBI agent. The error came to light after CNN published footage from the latest dump of files, a 2009 video of an FBI undercover operation aimed at securing Epstein’s so-called “black book” of contacts. The news outlet reports that the Justice Department reached out after the video went up to ask for the undercover agent’s face to be obscured, acknowledging that it had failed to conceal the agent’s identity before releasing the files.

I'm sure Kash won't mind a few of his agents dying as long as the pedo ring goes on unbroken.

That’s because their main (only) focus is protecting the rich people who committed all of these heinous crimes.

Rodriguez was later arrested for failing to surrender the book as evidence. He claimed it was his personal property and described it as an “insurance policy,” telling authorities he feared Epstein might make him “disappear,” according to court documents. He ultimately pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Rodriguez died in 2014.

Died from mesothelioma, apparently. One of the rare "natural deaths" related to Epstein associates.

Too time consuming for even criminals in our reality. Unlucky bastard.

Accidentally is not the word I would use. You accidentally add salt instead of sugar when cooking. You purposely ignore risk and help the enemy identify targets when you release the files without a coherent plan for situations like this.

She deserves to be arrested and shot by firing squad for treason.

You think she’ll have that psychotic smug smirk on her face then ?

I half way expect her to say "How dare you not talk about the DOW" to her executors

Incompetence yet again. These people are so stupid in everything they do, it's amazing the Democrats just rolled right over for them.

It's not just the incompetence that gets me, it's the confident condescension that accompanies it

This thumbnail is terrifying

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 6 points 6 months ago

Bold to attribute to incompetence what is probably attributable to malice.
