You can get refurb or used Surface devices pretty cheap nowadays. If you can find a cheap Minisforum V3 Tab, that's another good one.
I think the Framework tab is a bit overpriced, same with the System76.
The Librem tablets are a joke at their price point.
I put Mint on a surface pro 3. Very straightforward and it works well. I have not, however, tried the stylus as the battery needs replacing and is a weird quadruple-A. I am sure the Mint forums can direct you to getting one working if you go this route. Good luck!
