We welcome anyone who wishes to join in by asking for advice, sharing our experiences and stories, or just encouraging someone who is trying to quit or cut down.

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to r/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, lets not drink alcohol!

I'm on holiday and just had a tomato juice. I added some tabasco for heat, forgot to stir, so the first sip was burning like hell :)

But at least I'm not drinking and can go skiing again tomorrow without a hangover!

I just attend this community. I am over 300 days sober and I did it with reddit and then here.

I was waiting to see when some recovery communities would begin taking off in these spaces. I've logged into older communities a few times, but have elected to mostly refrain from commenting.

Man it's nice to be sober.
