lol. People would be chatting random stuff and maybe it will cost more than hiring someone

There's no way it costs less than signing with an Indian call center.

Come to think about it, it might actually be just an Indian call center.

"Ok, where's the ban button so this uwu shit stops"

Finally, a chat bot with a spine

[–] mholiv@lemmy.world 32 points 5 months ago

Right? I’ll take French food critic bots over “you're absolutely right” every time.

Google's reply to 'aws cuddles uwu'

It seems you're mixing some high-tech cloud vibes with pure comfort! While Amazon Web Services (AWS) is usually busy powering the internet, "uwu cuddles" is all about that soft, cozy energy. If you're looking for that specific mix of tech and "uwu" culture, here is what’s out there:

Custom Gear: You can find quirky items like the NaocchiUwU Cuddles Sticker or even custom skins for AWS DeepRacer cars if you want your AI racing to have a bit more personality.

The "UwU" Aesthetic: In online communities like Reddit's furry or art subreddits, "cuddles" and "uwu" are often used to describe adorable character art or wholesome interactions.

Sensory Comfort: Many people use "cuddly" items like plushies to manage stress or sensory overload. There’s even research suggesting that comfort items like plush toys can help reduce anxiety and improve sleep for adults.

Tech Meets Kawaii: Some developers use "uwu" ironically in their technical projects or portfolios that are actually hosted on services like AWS, GitHub Pages, or Cloudflare.

Are you looking for AWS-themed plushies, or did you want to see some wholesome art to brighten your day?

I hope it cost more to generate this reply than what Google invested

Just like with plastic waste, it isn’t random people making Gemini uwu once in a while that wastes a significant amount of water/energy. It’s the corporations submitting billions of LLM requests that’s consuming most of it.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 7 points 5 months ago

Really it's the training that's the biggest resource drain. Requests don't require nearly as much compute power.

If you can't beat them, join them! /s

Fuck AI.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

Every comment on lemmy will eventually be used to train an LLM so if we really want a clear conscience, we should all stop putting anything on the internet
