It looks like it’s just looking for BT MAC addresses and if they look like they’re from Meta a warning pops up. As soon as Meta starts obfuscating their MACs this app will be made useless. Don’t get your hopes up and it won’t work for glasses that don’t advertise a BT MAC. It also probably also false alarms for Oculus VR headsets.
They can't obfuscate a BT MAC and still get their product approved to use radios by the FCC. The same technique works for police bodycams:
