It's ok so far. It's a lot more fragmented than reddit, which is a good thing in the long term even though it's annoying now.
I'd also like there to be an easier way for me to filter topics I don't want to see, like communities for languages I don't speak or furry porn.
I would love to see a way to block communities from my feed directly from my feed. As it stands, it appears that I have to go to the main community page to do so.
I'm using Jerboa and kinda like the look, although it somehow has a but of an Android 2.1 vibe. Could be the ridiculously large don't when opening a post (when browsing through them it's fine). I also haven't found a user friendly way to search between communities and subscribe to one. So far i had to search on one site, post the url in another and subscribe, then wait for it to appear in jerboa. I'm probably stupid and do it the wrong way. If we want users here, outside of tech communities anyway, it's needs to be waaay easier to use.
I'm sure the content will grow and it's all new, so it's unrealistic to expect everything to be as slick as reddit was.
Love it! Looking forward to the day where there’s larger communities and 3rd party apps, I’m normally a lurker and it’s hard when there’s so little content, it’ll come with time and I’m doing my part.
Technically, things need a bit of polish. In particular, I’m talking about the website being intermittently unavailable, and today I experienced the joys of the page reloading as I was typing a comment. Fun!
Still, those problems are dwarfed by the quality of the community and the conversations that are had. I’d much rather put up with a few glitches than go back to the idiocy I’d gotten used to. Lemmy all the way!
Honestly I’m really liking it more than I thought I would. It will take a while for it to be as comfortable as Reddit was, especially as Mlem development matures, but I’m most likely here to stay once Apollo has officially bitten the dust
I'd like to be able to hide the story summaries on community pages, so you just see the topic. Reddit was super compact that way, which I really preferred. This was constantly abused too, of course...
Here from a kbin instance. I’d say I’m intrigued by the fediverse so far, don’t find it too onerous to use personally. Time will tell as to whether enough tech-savy Reddit users make the crossover to create the community experiences that would keep me active here.

I just found a post - which I wanted to add a comment to - but I'm now logged in with Lemmy.world - so when I opened that comment (link) in a new tab, I'm told that I can either log in, or subscribe here (copy/search !technology@beehaw.org) which now shows 'Subscribe Pending'.
So basically, communication isn't being facilitated in this instance - this is a huge barrier. If a connection, or subscription is required to reply, then this needs to be automatic.
I like it! Sure, some rough edges, and a bit of technical difficulties due to the influx of Reddit refugees like me, but this seems like a much friendlier, more real community.
