I don't play a lot of big budget games these days, but the Hitman games still feel a bit like old school PC games, where the dev team is putting their effort into making complicated and interesting systems, instead of optimising your spending behaviour.

Love these types of games. Sniper Ghost Warrior comes to mind. Love that sneaky stealth sniping and sneaking up on people to take them out. Mmh.
