Distro governance drama?

*peaks my head in from NixOS

How... Quaint. (JK)

I wish them all the best. Manjaro was one of my first distros and it's really fallen off in recent years.

Seems like Philip finally pissed enough people off to tube the distro. I watched this same thing with Mandriva and another distro happen. It's probably not going to end well.

I liked Manjaro and still have it running on some machines, but I can't say I'm inclined to install it for a while now.

Oh wow. Maybe it's time I move to another distro after 8 years

One of the reasons Manjaro lost a lot of users is that there are better alternatives now. If you want more or less vanilla Arch, but easy to install, go for EndeavourOS. If you want Arch that's optimized for performance, you have CachyOS.

Yeah I've been looking at cachy for a while, the main thing is jumping distro is a pain lol
