Does anyone actually know the plot of Mandalorian and Grogu? Anyone at all?

I have never been less hyped for a star wars movie. It seems to have come directly from a corporate boardroom. Show was popular and grogu cute, sell merch, much profit yes.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the entire plot can be summed up in one word.

Just go visit the toy aisle at Walmart to learn more.

The plot? Mando & Grogu are on a mission to save Stinky (Rotta the Hutt) (Jeremy Allen White).

Oh jabba the hutts son is a good guy? I just assumed he was a bad guy when I heard he was in it.

I mean the Hutts are generally the "bad guys", but that doesn't mean we won't have worse guys. Look at Bill Burr's space Boston character in Mando. He was a bad guy when we first met him, but later against the Empire he's on Mando's side.

I'm guessing Rotta has himself caught up in some underworld scheming and it'll be up to Mando and crew to save him, but he could always double cross or someone else could double cross.

I understand the general sentiment of not knowing the plot, but I'm ok with not knowing much apart from what we do.

Exactly the same here... I was a huge Star Wars fan and Disney took all the joy out of it. I'll be waiting for the High Seas to supply me

Before watching the trailer, just for fun, my guess:

Mild sci-fi fantasy peril, the baby Yoda eats something yucky and ethically questionable, there's a new bad guy who hopes that nobody finds out about his secret weakness, twelve pages of new mandolorian lore that retcons a bunch of stuff from the other movies, mando figures out the bad guys weakness and baby Yoda uses the force the movie ends just as we introduce some other baby Star wars critter.

After watching the trailer:

Hm. Yeah, I have no idea what this movie is gonna be about.

That's interesting because this is the most I've been excited for a Star Wars movie in my life. The sequel trilogy was sooo disappointing so I'm ready to see something that's not connected to the Skywalker story for once. And the Mando show is so good, outside of that last season, and the trailers for this movie look so good.

I'm sick of baby grogu

We need a time jump when he next appears

That said I'm looking forward to the movie, it looks fun
