I’ve always found it annoying that the search function in the web UI forces us to enter a query string, when theoretically other filters should suffice. It turns out that it’s not just a UI limitation. The API for the search insists on supplying q.

Next thought is the user profile. I suspect this is the call for that. But I don’t trust it. I think I’ve seen situations where the user profile fails to find posts that the search function can uncover. Although it’s perhaps down to sorting issues.

Any other way to get a user’s list of post IDs?
