It's kind of a fascinating movie, in its dull way. But knowing that Los Angeles has a pretty deep occult history makes the setting a little more interesting. And funny, when you think about it: who isn't in a cult in LA?
Crown International Pictures does a satanic cult movie. If the Devil's Hand were made a decade later the filmmakers would've probably significantly amped up the sleaze. Since this is an early '60s movie it's instead rather quaint.
