Still no comment from Charlie Kirk, strange

If we can pay literal insurrectionists (traitors) then we can pay people whose 1st admendment rights were violated.

Taco doesn't pay anyone. 🤮

Again? Or is this the same news?

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's weird too, the amount keeps getting lower. It started in the $800,000 range.

[–] Zerot@fedia.io 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wasn't that a different person? This person was fired, the other one was jailed for 30 days.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Oh, that would make sense.

While I agree with the outcome of this case, it was a settlement which means no one won in the case, and that there was no court ruling or precedent set.

Also, we really don't have free speech. If she said fuck Israel she probably would have been jailed, and the media would never miss a chance to call her an antisemite.

Is this about the claim the lapel mic exploded rather than him being shot? Anyone seen that claim - that Israel used that same technique again?

If Israel can take out Epstein in an American prison or have those in charge say he's dead, kill American journalist without consequence, and drag us into wars of aggression; they can take our Charlie Kirk with an exploding mic. This is the same country that gifted Trump a golden pager so he remembers who's in charge.

[–] zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Maybe he had a pager on a necklace.

I appreciate that the entire story is summarized right in the link. I’ll get around to reading it after I catch up on Ancient Aliens.

The original article link has a similar title:

https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/charlie-kirk-was-never-shot-bullet-murdered-exploding-pen-mic-iranian-hacker-claims-1790165

IB Times UK is probably more credible than ancient aliens though.

Oh, that wasn’t a criticism of you. I just thought it was funny. Plus, the whole “exploding pen mic” sounds like a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Yeah, not sure why the article calls it that, as it's a lapel mic. "Exploding pen mic" does make it sound nuttier.

Funny, no news about CK’s alleged killer
