The meme reached its peak when used by Barack Obama and team during his immigration reform campaign in 2013.
Even though the image is from 2007, it became a “meme” in 2013. So yeah, picture’s a lot older but the meme’s 10 year old.
Not that I knew this, I just though that a decade would be apt.

That article is from 2020, so they are 16 now, possibly even 17, given that the original picture was taken 2007 when they were 11 months old (which is almost a year [citation needed])
