It's now been a full week since my spouse shattered their ankle in a freak accident. We were supposed to leave for a camping trip in the PNW this week. Instead, we are waiting for their surgery to be scheduled.

Thankfully, due to pursuing FIRE, we have plenty of savings and aren't financially stressed from all the medical bills we are about to be hit with. It would be nice to be fully FIRE, since I'm finally coming down from the stress of last week and all I want to do is sleep. It'd be so nice to not have to worry about work presentations that are likely to conflict with surgery.
