I sometimes like to imagine a reality where he is just playing the long game to bring the Soviet Union back, but the current reality seems to contradict that. At least the Soviet party hasn't been banned but it does seem to be defanged unfortunately. Best hope for Russia is that it grows and gets its teeth back, but at least they seem willing to work with the JDPON ideology for now.
