I don't read fur writing as often as I should, and I'd like to correct that. What are your recs for good fiction, poetry, or other writing from the fandom? New or old.

Marking this as NSFW as while I'm not specifically looking for smut I'm sure someone will see this post and really want to recommend some.

The Spellsinger books by Alan Dean Foster are a lot of fun. They're fantasy novels set in a world full of anthro characters. The main character is a university student who travels there from the real world, so I guess you could call them Isekai nowadays, although that term wasn't around in the 80s when they were written.

There's also "The Nature of Predators", a series of sci-fi webnovels with some very furry-ish alien species. The premise is that when humanity first starts to explore space, they encounter a galactic civilization that is entirely comprised of herbivore species and which is deeply suspicious and terrified of any sentient "predator" species. So the envoys of humanity have to try and prove their good intentions in a universe where many people would rather see them wiped out as a precaution.

Bit of a shorter read(and it's a comic), but Zipper by Dacad is a really emotional story. There is, like, two pages of nudity, but the first one only alludes to something happening, and the other is more logical as to why the character is nude, since they didn't really have much of a choice in the matter(nothing non-consensual, it's just the situation they were in).

It is on Dacads Bsky as well, but the formatting is a bit fucked because they posted the comic in sections and reposted a couple pages every now and then, so it's a bit of a mess there.
