A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

Agreed. It's getting harder to decipher who to trust, what is real or fake, and surveillance is at an all time high.
Maybe NINAH was a commentary about the way things are headed, rather than the other way around
The game was likely written as commentary on, or at least influenced by, the experiences of its creators. But the loss of trust and cohesion is nothing new. People have been talking about it for decades, with varying ideas of the cause and the cure.
I wonder about that too. Sometimes some ideas don't just come from thin air, they're created for a reason.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone here know if you can play this game on Linux? I looked into it a while back and it seems like a "no", but I didn't look very hard and would love o try again!
I played it using proton-ge and heroic launcher .
Based on your description, it kinda sounds like that's becoming true for spending time on the internet, encouraging people to go outside more.
