I just discovered this. Has anyone tried it?

Basically, you install it on your home server and use it to stash your DRM-free games, and then install the client on your PC, Steam Deck, whatever... log in to your server and just use it like your own, selfhosted Steam app. Any PC gamer already running Jellyfin, RomM, or other selfhosted entertainment-related server might be interested in trying it, if you do... please share your experience! I'll try it myself when I have time and post back here. If you know of any other alternatives, please share!

Yeah, I kinda hate to admit this, but I just don't have the free time to dedicate to this project as I used to, so it's kind of dead. It's the classic I-started-a-job OSS killer.

Some options for people looking to migrate off Drop:

Fork it! It's OSS for a reason. I picked a stack that's very easy to learn, and if you really want to, it's well-known by LLMs so you can continue to vibe-support it. LANCommander is kind of my recommendation, despite not having used it, It's OSS and has some awesome features that I'd love for Drop to have. GameVault seems to be the most established option, but it's not OSS and has a paid tier. It's lack of support for Linux and, in my opinion, a weird looking UI led me to create Drop. RomM looks like the best for emulators, if you're into that. Sorry to disappoint with the project, but I am always available to answer technical and support questions if you decide to fork it - I'd love for someone to pick it up and continue maintaining it.

Edit: I'm also happy to hand off maintainer permissions to someone in the community that I can trust, and would like to take over the project.

Well, that discussion got closed and there is some limited more recent activity in the repo, so I would say it isn't entirely abandoned but probably needs help.

You can you like a lean back thing in the discover store (or just a shortcut) then add that as a non-steam game. Not exactly related to this but could do what you want.
