Well, it's using funny JS, you learn how it works and trick it into downloading the fragments.

But why would you bother doing that if the movie is available on public trackers in better quality?

What exactly lead you to believe it serves an M3U file?

Even if you had good intentions with that, throwing common solutions that obviously won't work at someone only leads to them wasting time. It's not a good thing to do.

There’s another comment in this thread by user unperson that I was building on, hence referring to their comment. You asked where m3u8 came from, it’s another comment in this thread. Since it’s a derogatory term, it’s possible you have filtered their comments.

I’m sure that explains it. I didn’t realize programming.dev blocked hexbear. Kind of stupid honestly. It’s a great community but has it’s quirks for sure.
