Most of my coworkers tell me I'm weird because of my morning routine. I have a 30 min commute to work but I wake up 2 hours before work and, apparently, that's not normal because I should be waking up 35 minutes before work, rush to the workplace to check in just in time and then start my day.

But you know? Waking up with time, enjoying my breakfast, taking care of myself with my skin routine without having to rush and then leaving to work knowing that I am on time even if something happens gives me a peace of mind that they simply can't understand.

Yea having money is nicer than doing what it takes to get it. Real big brain stuff

Spend less time doomscrolling on the toilet and anyone could have the 10 minutes to enjoy a coffee before heading off to work.

A lot of people do it at work before starting, grab a joe on the way and get in work mode at work.

The problem is, too many equate their time to lost money, so they feel guilty about those moments, yet waste them on social media or something instead.

I dont have a porch or any wildlife to look out at but i do give myself 40minutes every morning to chill and drink coffee, usually watching youtube or playing a little bit of a game and its MUCH nicer than just getting up and immediately getting ready for work and heading out

I’ve got neurodivergent kids, so I get up at 5 to be able to walk the dogs and still get a little me time till needing to deal with the kids at 7. One can be a handful before his meds kick in.

Wish they could be trusted alone at home more so I can sleep in, but at that point my routine and “ritual” is disturbed. So I don’t know haha.

And yet here you are doing it anyways. Not on the toilet likely, but this time in social media could be spent basking outside in nature.

This is my happy place.

Sometimes its a forest surrounded filed with cows. Sometimes its overlooking a wooded valley.

But always a back porch morning, with coffee or tea.

But I like rushing through life.

I'll be dead one day, I'm gonna enjoy this!

It's not the rushing that's problem, it's the rushing to do things that feel pointless.
