Don't buy shit from the fruit store and degoogle your phone if it's an Android. Maybe in the future we will have a fully featured linux phone that the masses can buy, but we aren't there yet. Until then, degoogled android is all we realistically have for the normies.

Linux phones are way less secure than Android phones. There already exist phone os like grapheneos or lineageos or calyxos that degoogle. Linux desktop and phone don't sandbox apps so if you install one malicious app it has access to all files on the phone your camera and so on. Even if you use flatpak the flatpak sandbox is weaker(easier to break out of) and the app dev of the flatpak app decide what permission it should have unlike on android where the user does so with major permissions like camera.
For now, yes they aren't more secure. That's no surprise as that hasn't been the focus. Linux hasn't been used in that fashion for a long time and there's catching up to do.
Getting a linux phone on the market and getting it into many people's hands plus that of developers will make it secure. Especially if governments invest in secure phones for their armies, special forces, and intelligence community.
I just don't see the point. Android is open source and there already exist alternatives to the things google play services dose. Instead of the googles push nonfiction system(FCM) there is unifiedpush https://unifiedpush.org/ and alternative apps stores like f-droid or accrescent https://accrescent.app/.
I hope you a right about the security improving but i am not so optimistic of it even coming close to Android.
Android is still controlled by Goofle. They release the source when they want to and how they want to. They change the rules the same way and everybody has to scramble to adapt once the changes drop. That's hardly the way it should be working.
Just because android has a headstart, doesn't mean we should stick our heads in the sand and proclaim a forever winner.
Might I politely add, that the fruit store has bet its entire image on the opposite of what you’re claiming? So if the new fruit store head farmer decides to lift the plastic lid and press the res button, they would make an irreversible decision which would be the end of them right away.
Millions of dollars of bounties both by Israeli intelligence, Apple themselves and several entities on the dark web still haven’t come up with anything near credible to support these theories. Unless you’re counting bugs found, reported and patched.
We should by all means work towards open hardware with a FOSS Linux mobile OS on it, but this theory is so tiring.
Could the fruit store technically accomplish this? Yes. Can they do it silently? Yes for at most a few weeks before it comes out. Could they weaponise it on just a few people? Again, this would come out in no time.

The prosecution of pro Palestine speech in places like Germany isn't a fiction. The support for neocolonialism in places like France, which to this day benefits from treating former colonies like shit is also not fiction. And most of the EU is conveniently supported US foreign policy until it came to bite them in the ass with Greenland (and still generally support the US everywhere else).
Some European countries are very nice to live in, but internationally they're not the good guys. They supported bombing Yugoslavia and Libya and now they pretend to hold space for nuance in the illegal invasion of Iran. They also supported kidnapping Maduro in Venezuela and they clearly don't give a shit about Cuba being subjected to a genocidal blockade.
This isn't to say Russia is better, Russia is another country with an oligarchy and they tend to be the bad guys all the time as well, the difference is that Russia does good some of the time, even if for the wrong reasons, like recently violating the US blockade of Cuba to bring them oil. I doubt they do it because they care about Cuban people, but the result is still a good one for Cubans, and it's a whole lot more than what the EU has ever done.

Fruity mobiles have been hacked multiple times. The Israelis routinely do so. Pegasus might right a bell. Jeff Bezos was even a victim.
Also, the fruit store's App Store still has malware despite the 30% they steal from developers in the name of "security".
The company also sells ads and ad placements BTW. If that isn't an indication of their goals...
Regarding bounties, they have regularly snubbed white hats and pentesters. They are one of the most wealthy companies in the world and hate paying bounties. The one I remember clearly is a dude finding exploits in their supply chain, which could've led to the attacker sending phones anywhere they wanted and emptying warehouses or adding unnecessary stock. They for nothing, yet the bugs were quietly resolved. Any adversary could thus do what the Israelis did and reroute shipments to modify material before it reaches its destination.
And let's not forget the incident where people started seeing photos on their phones from other people's iCloud, or employees repeatedly snooping on iCloud accounts, especially of celebrities, despite the data being "encrypted".
Or that time Macs couldn't function because some server somewhere was getting DDOSed?
Finally, it's a US company. The CLOUD Act and Patriot Act force(d) them to so what was decided in secret courts, without ever being given the right to expose it.
There's more, you just have to care to look for it. They are masters of marketing. That's their entire thing and you are falling for it. Remember that corps aren't here dlr you. They are here for the money. Especially big companies like that.

Not great, not terrible either.
The other articles all read to me as a bounty program in flux but not being shut down or the corporation going muted and isolationist. They are still doing outreach and having discussions, just not at the higher payouts the bounty hunters were expected.

One user posting something without any proof, one or two others saying me too, and then the entire thread doesn’t even get longer than 2 pages with most people fretting about Apple’s apps on windows sucking balls since before the stone age. Someone in that thread points out that if this was real, there would be tons of outlets like The Verge posting about this outlining steps to replicate etc. None of that happened.
I’m going to have to bail here buddy. I entertained a random person on the internet, im sure you’re a good person, but I have been following the fruit farm from very close for very long. Nothing I say will make you think that I’m not a hypnotised blinded by fruit person, but that’s okay.
Your other articles probably are mostly true: Apple has bent over to China because it’s one of their biggest markets and their plan to divest production from that country will take decades, but is going well.
Apple is an ad company and a streaming company. They still don’t sell personal data and are nowhere near the apocalyptic personal data harvesters like Meta, Amazon and Alphabet have built their businesses around.
They don’t get a free pass, but of all of silicon valley they are the least bad of a bunch of really rotten ones. And miles behind the ethics of Linus Torvalds.

You ignore Pegasus, the CLOUD act, applications unable to start, play down their bug bounty program and their position as an ad company. You say you follow the fruit farm very closely for very long, but didn't know about any of the things I posted. It doesn't seem like you ever were going to take anything i posted seriously. Can't say I'm surprised.

I’m not ignoring it, Pegasus is very old news, never was proven to have an established backdoor and always needed a trojan horse like system to work (i.e. gullible user clicks on stuff) again that’s not limited to the fruit farm, and happens to all systems, even open source linux. If anything the fruit farm does better work at bringing awareness of potential spammers and scammers in their text and email apps.
Cloud act again applies to all not just Apple. There simply is no evidence in anything you’re presenting to substantiate ios being readily hackable in a wide scale to the extent that “even Bezos got hacked”, that’s all I’m saying. I took all of it serious, you just didn’t demonstrate anything that I wasn’t already aware of or provided demonstrable proof of your wild claims. (Articles with steps to reproduce, lists of victims, class action suits costing apple millions of dollars etc), because it never happened.
And the reason it has yet to happen, is because they still have a (not that great but still functional) bounty program, regular software updates, and still despite the most fascistic regime ever above them, have not built in a backdoor despite many prior requests.
The only thing that is increasingly happening behind the scenes probably is them secretly complying more and more with secret court orders (not court orders that are sealed, but secret courts that the public isn’t aware of, issuing orders with full legal effect) and using that to aide ICE/BPD in their gestapo shit). Which is horrible and bad, but would again be exactly what meta, alphabet and amazon are also doing.
