Thanks for sharing, not familiar with this. I know some Mr Bungle (great band!) & get Mike Patton's creative style ( broadly a cutting/satirical social commentary), and see that in the song titles here ('Anarchy up your anus' is so Patton!). So not musically similar to the later quirky stuff, but see Fantomas for another heavy Patton creation. A lot of his FNM input was skirting mainstream sounds with original or alternate themes and styles. He doesn't pin himself down to a genre, but uses music to reflect the lyrical meaning. It still amazes me how musically 'accomplished' so much Mr Bungle music is given they were at high school.
I also just had a friend recommend me Fantômas and I'm checking out their Director's Cut album, it's a fuckin trip man. Mike Patton is one hell of a talented individual and I'm finding a lot of his stuff is hit or miss for me, but I see the vision, these trippy visions lmao. I'm noticing Mr. Patton roped Lombardo into quite a few projects, and it's rather interesting to discover this years after the fact.
I don't know all his stuff, but it is very varied from what I have heard. I should go back to Fantomas again, got the first album but didn't take to it, so know what you mean re hit n miss! But yeah, Patton just goes for it, so rarely get that variety and creativity from an individual.
Yeah I dip in and out of who does what with whom, so was interesting to see those two help out with the re-recording of Mr Bungle stuff, but makes sense - same era, same scene.
This is from the first Mr. Bungle (or the re-master/re-release), and it is actually a great thrash album. None of the other Bungles albums are thrash IMO. Patton's various projects are all over the place (thrash, rock, trip-hop/hip-hop, opera, general-experiment-weirdness), but I tend to like nearly all of them.

RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted). While we understand it is subjective, if a moderator believes a song to stray too far from thrash, it will likely be locked. Please do not take this personally. Repeat offenders may see posts removed.
- Please search before posting a song, do not repeat posts.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters.
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
