Hey folks, as of today Shattered Pixel Dungeon is 12 years old!

I don't have anything special prepped for today, I'm still working away at v4.0. Refinement is coming along well though and it's looking very likely that it'll be ready for beta before August 15th!

Here's one more upcoming vault treasure room in the meantime. This one has some pretty rapid fire traps, so there's no avoiding them. You'll need some sort of help to get past them unscathed.

I didn't like roguelikes until discovering SPD.

Then I retried other roguelikes, but none feel as balanced beteween fun and pain or easy to use as SPD.

This is no small feat! I remember when shattered first came out and I didn't get it and low key didn't like it.

Turns out I wasn't seeing the big picture and what all these great and interesting changes and additions.

You really are the mvp, what you've done over these years is truly impressive

Think i found SPD by searching for recommendations for top open source games. Wasn't expecting to find a game i'd still be playing eight years later. I have nearly completed my badges... maybe i can get them all before my ten year SPD anniversary! Brilliant work. I love seeing it evolve over the years.
