This is really good news. It's hard to overstate how much damage a large, unforecasted CME event could do. It could be civilization-ending given where we are at this point.

I hope that when a really bad CME event that happens that we previously would not have been able to forecast without this.... that this work is celebrated for saving so many lives pre-emptively.

I want it quantified in terms of dollars spent on the project per life saved, I bet it will be a damn good deal.
