I love the clickity clack of old IBM Model M keyboards. Typewriters' typing sound is also oddly relaxing to me, the *ding* on a new line carry was lovely, too.

I love the sound of old harddrives. At least the ones that have some low grumbling and clicking, not the ones with a high-pitched whine due to failing bearings.

The sound of old tapedecks and reel-to-reels is also pretty nice.

And the sound a Zippo makes when you open and close it.

I can't say there are any machine noises I enjoy. If there was a way to have everything be silent I think that'd be great :3

Best: Tractor engine idling. It's a nice consistent low rumble that you can feel in the ground even when it's not that loud. Like being rocked to sleep.

Worst: Somebody building a deck or house nearby. Just when you think the random hammers and nail-guns might be over the racket starts up again. Impossible to sleep through.

Every single 3d printer has its own unique sound and I love them all. My first was a prusa i3 clone that would catch fire if you weren't watching, but its voice was a beautiful and springy hum. They all sound fun and calming to me.

The sound of 3D printers is mesmerising. Not so keen on the sound of kitchen blenders/grinders.

I love the sound of plenty of older performance engines such as an RB25 or RB26, 2JZ, 13b, old Ferrari V8s like in the F40.

A lot of the newer performance engines with these fast shifting auto boxes just sound like wet farts and have "pops and bangs" programmed into the ECU just sound like shit to me.

I know a lot of people hate loud cars but these 90s / 00s performance engines literally throw chills up my spine ans bring a tear to my eye sometimes. Just pushes some visceral button inside me.

In the summer I run a large floor fan blowing air out the front door screen all night. It works like a whole house fan, pulling cool night air in through open windows. It's loud, but constant and helps me sleep. It's running right now, the morning is the coolest part of the day.

My next door neighbor's dog used to bark at the slightest sound. The dog was outside 24/7 and apparently slept during the day. Once it started barking it would continue for 10 minutes or so. I think the dog died, because it abruptly stopped about two years ago. He hasn't replaced the dog, so that's good.

The assholes that rev their motorcycles around the neighborhood at night. There aren't many of them, at least. That's a summer thing, of course, so the fan helps mitigate that some.

I like my clacky keyboard.

I also love the klangs of spaceships banging into shit in space games.

Old hard drives, floppy disk drives, record players; anything that plays back physical media, apart from modern disk drives. Those hardly make any sounds at all.

I love the distinctive sound a regular fat PS3 makes; the fans sound pretty weird but I associate so many good memories with that sound.

Diesel engines drive me up the damn wall

Sound of Inline 4 motorcycle sport bike. Not the high rake supersport with loud aftermarket pipe, but the stock pipe on a comfort sport bike.

It burbles like a purring cat when idling, and comes to life when accelerating; with a mix of high revving engine, the intake and exhaust noise, the transmission whine, and the subtle tinkle noise of the chain going over the sprockets. Its like a beautiful cacophony.

I hate gas leafblowers, those should have to be electric only.

Industrial music is an actual thing, with many subgenres ranging from "literally just a washing machine whirring rhythmically" all the way to "EDM with banging noises".

I wouldn't say that I enjoy it necessarily, but I heard an MRI machine recently for the first time and it makes the most bizarre collection of sometimes comically comouter-y sounds. People told me it would be loud but I didn't know what type of sounds I would be hearing lol.

I work in a place where machinery is always whirring and I don't find it particularly enjoyable. Our machines are more just sort of droning as opposed to something interesting.

At work we have a little thingy for digitizing 8mm/super8 film reels. It's kinda janky, doesn't actually play the reels at normal intended speeds or even at all really, in a sense. Rather, it takes a picture of each individual frame and then turns them into a video. I've been told by purists that this is far from ideal.

However!
