Good morning,

I was redirected here to request to be made the mod of the https://lemmy.ca/c/canadiandeals community as both mods are currently inactive.

Should you need anything else, please let me know.

Have a great day.

Yes we can do that :) You are now the mod on !canadadeals@lemmy.ca

I also see that you are new here, and you have made a few communities already. You are totally free to do that, but from expereince it can be hard to get multiple new communities off the ground your own. While some of your communities are distinct niches that don't exist yet (ex. the Gander community), others do have active counterparts. It would be easier to participate in those, or to moderate those by asking the existing mods if they need help. You'll have an easier time growing a community that already has 1000 users, rather than starting for zero.

I recommend these specific pages from our guides to understand how the platform works, and tricks to find the communities:

For the communities that you are moderating, you can find some similar existing communities listed on these pages. If you click the home icon and set lemmy.ca as your home, then any links you click on will open back on here:

For any community that you want to try and grow, I recommend posting about them on !newcommunities@lemmy.world and !communitypromo@lemmy.ca to let people know about them.
