What is your favorite dinosaur?
Hmmm. I think Quetzals are cool. Sorry if that's not the full or correct name. I know most Dino names because of ARK and it's been a while.
Pterosaurs are like honorary dinosaurs! They are technically warm blooded flying lizards but all the displays group them with the dinos.
Quetzalcoatlus are freaking awesome, like if giraffes were predators that could fly!
warm blooded flying lizards
That is cool af! Learned something new today! :)
Did you find any hidden gems there?
Shipshaper is great. It is what it sounds like.
We dig below is a turnbased factory builder with tower defense elemts. It's great fun.
And if you are up to test your reflexes there is a bullet hell rythm game from spain. I forgot the name but the dev/s is/are called Fancy Cat Studios
How's the vibe?
Good I'd say. People are nice, and helpful when you ask them. Also it is quite relaxed with people galavanting through the buildings. Like wi dowshopping, just for games. :)
How long’s the queue?
Surprisingly it was pretty short compared to other titles like Witcher, and pre 1pm on wednesday it is managable, since entry is limited to trade visitors. I'd say 20 mins.
What you waiting on?
Stranger than heaven :) I wrote it down when it was first announced because it looked very cool. In the meantime i forgot what the game was about xD
Ah, yeah. That game does look cool. What else you got planned while you're there?
It is so fucking challenging, but in a good way.
Does the Commodore stand have their new semi-smart flip phone? (Commodore Callback 8020)
I haven't seen the commodore stand yet and don't think I will
Fair enough, you do you!
What the fuck is gamescom?
It is an annual gaming convention in Germany. Five days of madness and games. Or mad games.
Is Merkel there, playing Farming Simulator again?
wait did that actually happen?
Yup. Just do a search with "angela merkel farming simulator" and you'll find reports of it
I haven't spotted her yet, but I will keep an eye out >.>
European E3 is how I've been describing it to people who have asked that recently.
If you're German, are you eating cheese for breakfast? Because I once had a German coworker who used to eat cheese in the lunch room at work, and it was strange (I'm French BTW, I don't mind cheese).
It is common in Germany to put cheese on bread. Or do you mean he ate just cheese?
Cheese on bread yes IIRC. The cultural shock was that he ate it at 9 AM. But he was a great guy like every other Germans I have met so far.
Also they have invented techno music, weird movies, the Chaos Computer Club, etc.
Yeah cheese for breakfast is quite normal
Did you try Dear Passengers?
No
How many times so far have you questioned your decision to attend?
I usually start roughly one hour after standing in line.
Once. But I know that I'll be here the entire day anyways and the indie area is still ahead of me, as well as snooping in the business area. So there's still loads to look forwards to.
Are there any Indie games you've tried or are you just going for the triple As?
And was it worth it so far?
I can always recommend visiting the indie area, low wait times, and you may speak with the devs themseves.
Checked out The Blood of Dawnwalker. If you liked the witcher/ action RPGs chances are you'll have a great time.
It was worth it!
