Someone take this man's copy of Bloodborne away from him, he's not worthy of it.
it's really one of the key principals of bloodborne, if you don't have 25-50 Vit your playing a challenge run. yes. you can get by with next to no Vit, but to obtain the skill to do so, you need to play and succeed, you can't find the tools to get that good if your just getting stomped before you can even engage.
This is the simplest (and best) advice to make Souls games easier…
That doesn't mean I follow it. For example, when I make an Int character in Elden Ring, I level Int to 57 before anything else.
Or in Bloodborne, I pump up the attack stat of the weapon to 50 (or 25&25) before leveling anything else (and then complain that the Shadows gank me.)
I'd argue that Bloodborne is designed to be easier as a glass cannon specifically as a response to Dark Souls vigor builds but I will retract my previous request
Better noob advice for Dark Souls is "grab the eagle shield, fully upgrade it, and never die again".
DS1 is MUCH easier when you understand how to block and have poise.
