I had a dumb idea so here's a few silly lines of bad prose
It’s not easy being a civil servant. I should know, I spend half my days crawling through the New York waterways. Most people wouldn’t believe the things I’ve seen. No alligators, but… well, there’ve been a couple of animal carcasses I never would’ve expected to see in those cramped little tunnels.
Been having some nightmares lately. Long hallways, monsters, kidnappings, the works. Unfortunately, government health care plans don’t include psych visits for lowly sewage workers. For a while, I tried hitting the gym after work, just to tire myself out, didn’t really help. Got some great cardio work, at least.
So a friend hooked me up with some drugs, says they’re supposed to help me relax. Now, uh… I think I might be in over my head.
“Hi, I’m Toad!” it yells at me in a high-pitched, nasally voice.
