Life is so bad in America that even the forests are trying to swim into Canada for safety.

To hell with the warning. The fact that the island might break up and disappear would only encourage me to get out there sooner. Plus bring a camera.

Someone definitely needs to get on it asap so we can figure out how the hell this came to be. I'm completely intrigued.

It sounds like it's a piece of land that broke off from a shore but not 100% sure.

Yes. This is one of the most interesting articles I’ve read in a while.

Leave it alone. That's where the protagonist will find the entrance to the super dungeon with the boss that gives the sword that inflicts holy damage.

Is it inhabitated by meercats?

[-] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 days ago

I heard someone found a human tooth on it.

A meercat tooth? Very curious.

How do you lose track of an island on a lake?

Gammer said the island’s origin was not certain but it was normal for trees that fall into the reservoir to clump together in sheltered bays.

“You can imagine, like a tree falling down in the forest, and the trunk is laying flat, and over a long period of time, it starts to break down, and other plants, moss, and even trees start growing on top,” said Gammer.

From near the end of the article.
