Wasps at the Moulin de Provence (sh.itjust.works)

I stopped by the Moulin de Provence today. The pastry display was full of wasps. There were at least six feasting on a chocolate almond croissant. The danishes were in little plastic coffins, so I lined up for one of those. While I was in line, the staff brought out a vacuum cleaner and started sucking up the wasps.

Have the wasps always been that bad there?

It might be that they're just bad everywhere this year.
