I wouldn’t threaten anyone called Bombardier.

That whole country deserves to exclusively fly on Boeing 747Max planes.

I'm sure this will be made up elsewhere as other international markets pivot away from Boeing and Trump's unreliable USA.

100% they wouldn't give him or his family a free plane.

Give him a defective plane.

Boeing: Go ahead, pick any one you want.

I love how he just keeps punching himself in the face, while blaming Canada for the bruises.

Waiting Trump out is still the more economical option than to move production to the US. He's just creating pain for everyone for no gain.

Waiting him out may not do much, the next bimbo may be to the left of him but they will still be way to far right for the world.

Trump attacks Canada that because he's a rich narcissist spoiled manchild who spent his entire lifetime getting what he wants and surrounded himself with people who will tend to every one of his caprices and Canada dared to say "no" when he demanded the country to be turned over to him.

He is a freak of nature of a combination of pure shamelessness, narcissism, confident incompetence, ability to lie like he breathes and megalomania. It is statistically improbable that whatever shitbag replaces him will be anywhere nearly as bad as him. I expect his replacement to do nothing less than immediately try to mend relations with Canada because they will want to fix their country's economy.

Trump was whining about some Gulfstream jets not being certified in Canada earlier this year. They got certified a few weeks later, but maybe we should ban them from sale if he's going to be like this.

Incoming bailout for Bombardier

[-] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

They have restarted production of their water bombers which are now in huge demand, will supply the jets for the SAAB Goldeneye AWACS that NATO is switching to and will be involved in SAAB Gripen production. They will be fine without the shithole US.

Are you thinking of the Canadair? I dont think that is Bombardier. But yeah im sure Bombardier will get through this. Some big rail contracts coming for instance.

Yup, and potentially they just leave the US entirely like so many other companies are doing, costing the US billions and thousands of jobs.
