I thought this and then I dogsat my friends Australian Shepard border collie mix and oh my god after hours and hours of running him and interactions he’d still look at me like “what’s next” and I realized I’m too introverted for this breed of dog.
My pup is an Aussie/Collie. Such a spaz. Cute as hell but he absolutely requires so much attention. My old blue heeler that passed had me spoiled with how smart and calm she was. The Aussie Collie is crazy.
Agree. Dogs wear their mood on their body; you can tell how a dog is feeling and what they want in 2 or 3 seconds from their body language. People are way harder to read, and have a much more complicated relationship with honesty. We wear poker faces and learn to hide our tells
Dogs are animals
I love animals that aren't dependant on me. Like the birds I greet on my walk, or the spider in the pantry, or the possum in the gum tree. We have an understanding.
I don't like animals that disrespect my personal space. Like when a dog is clambering on me with sharp claws and slobber everywhere. Dogs are really the main ones in cities; you don't find many goats or other rude animals around here.
Cats are ok because they mostly introduce themselves first and ask permission before touching you. But sometimes they'll just randomly cut you open or bite you as a game, which isn't cool.
I hate this about dogs. Especially when the owners are standing there with a slack leash like "Oh sorry about that! Down boy down!" and it is obvious the dog doesn't have any idea what that means or has intention to listen. Train your fucking dogs people, especially to not mess with anyone that's not you.
I don't hate dogs, I do mostly like them as other people's pets. But I hate when owners don't train their dogs. Dogs need training. Don't get one if you aren't going to train it.
Absolutely not! Animals are nothing but sensory overload. Not to mention their generally shorter lives make the emotional attachment not worth it to me neither.

I would rather hang out with 1 bear or gorilla than with 100 men or women.

Humans are draining and there isn't much positive coming from them, so overall rather negative.
Animals are neutral, though need upkeep which cant be ignored, so maybe slightly leaning towards overall negative even.
Machines on the other hand, those serve a purpose, even though those do need maintenance and prayer, generally the purpose those serve is simple and useful enough to be worth the effort of dealing with those, in addition nothing happens if those are forgotten for a while.
