every App Store search is logged letter-by-letter, with millisecond timestamps. Apple can compute your typing speed.

every search you type, timed to the millisecond, stored to your account

That’s, like, a search box logger? Not a “key logger.” Seems like a title that could easily be more precise and still attract eyeballs.

Edit: oh, it’s OP editorializing.

That's really not so bad as a walled garden you paid a premium price to enter presenting you with sponsored apps when you do a search in the app store.

So I should type “pee poo piss poo” over and over every day, got it

Yes, but you should do it every time with a different cadence to really throw them off your trail.

Just the app store that we know about? I wonder if google follows suit on android, and microsoft on anything they have similar on computers.

This comment "Much ado about nothing.

All Apple systems monitor your data input in real time to get better context of what you're doing. There's nothing sinister about it.

It's not just Apple. Google Search does the same thing, every key you typed will bring up results relevant to your input for decades."

It does [sketchy stuff] because [reason mentioned on the text]. Nothing sinister about that! [Most sinister company] does it too!
