They suspiciously didn't mention how much electricity it takes. And still requiring 200-300°C means it still needs some form of cracking facility.

It sounds like a bit of a dead end of they can't fix the palladium thing. Too costly and Too few benefits.

Sweet! This sounds like it helps solve the issue is safely transporting hydrogen for fuel use!!

However, what's more dangerous on the road? Lithium battery fires that struggle to be put out, or potentially explosive fuel cell ruptures with hydrogen?

Why not both? Lithium battery used to extract the hydrogen for the propulsion all in the cars system. Got it both ways

Check out sodium ion batteries. Being "much" cheaper and in greater abundance, sodium wins IMO. Just waiting for BYD and CATL to ramp up production and test. In automotive, I think the sodium ion batteries are capable of 80%charge in ~15 Minutes, but used a higher power charger to achieve.

They should check into rowow's very simple and cheap ionic membrances made of water softner resin beads and pvc glue on a fiberglass substrate
