In france tje day of the accident they called her "lady di" pronounced like "Lady die" for half a day before they caught up.

I've never had an out loud conversation regarding her, but I have always pronounced Diana 'dye anne uh' in my head, and thus shortened to 'dye'. How do you pronounce it...

ESL here, it has always been the same as "Lady Dee". Thinking about it as "Lady Dye" is blowing my mind.

Note, Diana is pronounced as Dee-Ya-Na in my mother tongue, perhaps that's why it feels more natural

A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.

Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
