All dogs are lap dogs.
My dog isn't a lap dog, she chooses not to be. We're too lumpy for her. She's a 'flop on the grass' dog.
All dogs that want to be lap dogs are lap dogs.
My dog is only a lap dog during thunderstorms or fireworks.
I had a dog that carefully walked into place, and then folded her legs so she could be on the lap...
Of course, only about a third of her was actually on the lap, but that didn't seem to bother her.
My cat has the same opinion. She's a "next to" cat.
Adopted my pup Zoey. They said she'd be 40lbs max. She's 95lbs now with no fat. By the time I realized how big she was going to be it was too late. Already trained a snuggle pup. Only time she's not attached to me is during the summer. Too hot 😂
